"Emily"

Hi all, just a quick post today.

I had to get Emily from  the new "Prima"
Cha range OMG she is just .....
Oh I will let you decide...mind you my
colouring ( been out of practice!!)
is not my best, but first go so Hey..

Anyway I thought I'd share!!

P.s If you haven't got any of their new delicious Bloom sprays
GET you some ...
" Empress Gold"......This is just a glorious colour, hint of rose to it...
That's the gold I have used to colour in
Emily's corset and the cogs/gears behind her.
The ginger coral is just beautiful too!!

so anyways here is my first play,

water colour.....

Just a hint , and I should have known better!!

180gsm is not suitable to heavily layer colour!!
As I'm sure you can see...

lesson learnt!....

Here you can see my use of the Empress gold...

you can see where it's buckled under my love of layering up colour
for shading and details....

Back to the drawing board...
Hope you like it xxx

This photo was taken last year, first day of school.
We had such a hard time last year with "Bullying" that I wanted to remind my son
that everything starts anew as he was so anxious not wanting to go back to school this year.
So I said we "Never give up" and never let this bet him and He should
"Reach for the stars" so That became my titles for this page.

We try to teach our kids the right things to do ....not hurt, share
look after, but it just blows my mind how other's don't.
It's all too hard, or my personal fav "You don't understand the circumstances".

This is my use of bunting, love it, cannot recall me using "Bunting"
in any of my layouts before......have to fix that!!

Few close ups ...

Prima papers and stamps
cheery lyn cog die,
magnolia flag die, and flag stax MFD,
glimmer mists and colour blooms.

Here is my newest layout....
love to hear what you think so leave me some of your thoughts...

Prima's May Product Picks.....

Hi Everyone, Hope you all enjoyed Mother's Day and have had a wonderful week!!
Thank you for joining me and welcome to my Blog!!

I have been busy !!
"Paper Mache"

Had me some messy fun with this, let me tell you!!
Four days it has actually taken me just to make balloon!!
Yes I know why!!
Well, I'm nuts... no, well yes , but with the time to dry between layers and sanding, painting then covering it with Prima papers huh, I'm slightly exhausted hahaaa!!

So I "really " hope you like it!!

I thought I'd enter it in the Prima mood board may PP!

here is the mood board

And here's My Take.....
Warning lots of photos!!

Well I had to share!! (wink!!)

Ok "helpful Harry" , my son got to my camera....don't know when,
but......I'm clicking away and uploading as fast as one could and it's not until
I'm re reading my blog I've noticed my shots aren't well their best!!
Then noticed my fav settings have been fiddled with, how Mr. Smarty pants
worked this out beats me, but LOL!! Anyway I am attempting to re shoot tomorrow!!

So some products used.....haaahaa...Prima Of Course!! ( cheeky Wink!!)

The papers used are a mixture of Princess collection, flowers are sprayed with
various glimmers ...( I know no bloom sprays for me just yet.....budget not up to it..
boo hooo!!)
Trims are Prima and some of my old stash, Oh and found the
most gorgeous crotched doliy in our OP shop, 20 cents, I couldn't believe it!!

I've used the Butterfly stencil with some model paste for texture
this was a challenge in itself....ever tried to stencil on a rounded surface??
But so happy it turned out!!
Oh when you heat it with heat tool just stay with it a little longer
than you would normally to dry it, and it will puff up adding a great 3d effect!!

I have added various butterflies from Martha, through to Cheery Lynn dies,
added some pearls for a shabby highlight and oh yes I have
painted the cream Prima flowers with some glimmer glam, so everything is
glittery!!

Of course some finishing touches with some Prima resins yummo!!
and their gorgeous chippies too!!

I used twine to make the scallops around the middle of the balloon
and to connect the basket, I forgot to put my Prima doll in the basket too....
Good Lordy I was doing well HEY!! LOL

I also added a net over the top of my hot air balloon, as when I was researching
I noticed a lot of the vintage balloons have netting, so an old
gift packaging came in real handy!! LOL

This is it in full view!! I have weaved Prima's  Princess collection into a basket!!

I will get back to you with some more details...have to pick my son up from school!!

Baby Layout

This is about the 3rd Baby layout I have done!!
Not Bad only taken me nearly 6 yrs ..lol
Just waiting for the right papers and inspiring sketch.....
Which comes to mind I would like to enter this in 2 Challenges.
http://sassyscrappers1.blogspot.com.au/ and

http://cestmagnifiquekits.blogspot.com.au/2013/04/our-april-sketch-challenge.html

I haven't entered a "challenge in some time (last year !!)
So I'm quite nervous and excited at the same time!!

The shots below are of the process I came up with to add layers
techniques ect ,indulge me if you will....
crepe paper frill, hand sewn , attached with modge podge
gessoed, glimmered, and blingz .
The background was first layered with templates
( Prima of course!!)
I used modeling paste to give depth and as "whoopses" happen
didn't let it dry enough lol I accidentally smudged it, rather like
the effect though, it gave a hazy effect to the LO!!
So as You do I went with it and then glimmered iridescent gold all over...

I added some German Scrap angel wings, that are covered in shimmerz...

Prima Alphabets that are covered with Glimmer mist and then topped off with Blingz!!
I have used Prima embellishments and flowers to adorn this little LO..

A close up to hopefully get a glimps of all the paint work!!

And Finally (sorry..!!) My Layout!! Ya...
He's just so Adorable...don't ya think hehehe!!

Another indulgement LOL!!

Happy Craftin
