So here is the gorgeous sketch I choose ..

And here's my take on it.....

 

 

"Sun, Surf and Sandcastles"...

 

We had a theme of vacation, so these pictures where

taken a couple of years back

on our first  family vacation

at the gorgeous "Sellicks Beach".

 

 

 

We spent the morning jumping waves ( too our ankles lol!!)

and collecting shells...I have used some in my LO and of course

the best part we made "sandcastles".

 

A few close ups...

I used the Prima princess collection of papers, their gorgeous new doily die
and a vine of stars and pearls, sorry lost the packaging!!
The other dies are from Impression Obsession and MFD.
Tim Holtz glitter and antique linen distress glitter,
Prima's bloom sprays and stencils , some sequins  and some gesso!!

Gone mad for this mixed media ....

 

Have been wanting to enter into

"Page Drafts Challenges"

But alas time has eluded me...

But not this month!!

 

So without further ado this is the AWESOME Sketch

and my Interpretation ...

Totally cool sketch Don't Ya think??

So I started off thinking about something different.

So I decided to go full paint, stencil,

Mixed Media !!

Incorporated some yummy Prima Stamps..

gesso and modelling paste bits here and there.

 

 

 

A side view to show all the stamping and stencilling..

 

Texture you gotta love it!!

 

I used some plasters mesh for a different layer

along with some die cuts, instead of the strips in sketch!!

 

Got my crackle paint out of hiding and had me some fun, totally forgot

how cool this stuff is......need some more LOL!!

 

Some lovely dies from memory box...

 

used some Silks, glimmers and re inkers for my bright colours!!

hehe and some sequins again!!

 

 

He is my "One of a kind"

This beautiful Boy, makes me laugh and smile

Everyday...He's such a Dag!!

Always goofing about.....

I'm so blessed he's mine xoxo

Lots of Layers and some Mixed Media!!

 

Hi all and welcome to my blog!!

 

Well I have been busy and keeping my

promise to update regularly !!

 

Life throws us some doozies as we all know

and I guess we can get caught up with all

the negative stuff and forget

to "Stop And smell the roses"

 

So I have been trying to put my not so happy

thoughts into my art....as you do!!

 

Well it's what makes us happy, me happy :)!!

 

So I have been having a go at this yummy

"Mixed Media", it's funny

 

Been doing it for as long as I have been doing my art

I guess but it's something that we all incorporate

into our cards/ layouts without even realising!!

 

Stamping ,painting, sploshing, stencilling,

using fabrics, papers ect....

 

So anyways I thought I'd have some fun

with this and really make my page POP

 

so I doodled, painted, splotched (lol) even threw in some

sequins for good measure!!

 

Love these photos, took these of my son and his "BF",

down at our park, they're in a cardboard box !!

They had a free family day and there was a maze made out of

huge boxes ....how to entertain kids for ages...BOXES!!!

Great day and they loved this maze!!

 

So enough rambling, I came up with this LO and am entering

it into Prima's May Bap

The sketch called for some check patterns, so

of course used my 2nd fav stencil Fin's checks....

sploshed that around with some gesso, and covered that

with some glimmer mists and silks "Guatemalan Green", 

Dragonfly, trunk bay glimmers!!

Modelling paste with the new paint splots prima stencil

Sorry my bad forgot the name shhh!!

 

Cut out some hearts, butterflies and leaves with white glitter paper

my stash... incorporated some yummy

resins and lushes flowers Prima, Prima Baby!!

Ohh and had a bit of fun with their black wire too...

 

 

Close Ups!!

 

I have a love for corrugated card too so threw some of that in for an extra layer

Or two!! Doily's and some divine chippy corners  !!

 

 

 

 

So love the colours in this, they really bring the colours in the photos out!!

Card In A Box.....a little Graphic 45

 

Hi Everyone I hope I find you all well, and madly craftn'!!

Welcome to my little blog, today I have a card to share with you all..

 

I have a new favourite card, be gone you easel cards...lol

 

Pop Up Card in a box ....these are so gorgeous

and super easy to make!!

 

So here is my take with some yumo graphic 45!!

These papers are just gorgeous

"Botanical Tea"

 

Fussy cut my way through those to die for roses

 

added some butterflies "Cheery Lynn's"

 The bird cage  and small birds fluttering around are

from Impression obsession

 

A top view with my seam binding, died with

Tim Holtz stains, antique linen, vintage photo and some brass!!

I ran some lace over it and painted goose bumps over that,

waited for it to dry and then stained it..

You can see the spotty effect its made..too cool!!
